Director of Special Music

Mark and Pam arrived at Knox in 2010, and Mark became Director of Special Music in 2018.

They are empty-nesters, and love traveling to see their grown kids perform in opera and musical theatre productions around the country.

Mark’s background is in music education and performance (Bachelor of Music Education - Wichita State University; Master of Music in Trumpet Performance - University of Michigan), and theology (M.Div. - Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary).

Historically, his vocation has encompassed all three areas, sometimes simultaneously!

You may not actually recognize his face because he usually has his back turned to you as he conducts the Knox Orchestra on Sunday mornings, but his hope is that you will experience the transcendence of music being brought to life for the Glory of God, the edification of His people, and as a witness to the world.
